Weekend.....


It's Monday again, although right now Mondays aren't too bad for me. Few more weeks then I will have the right to complain that it's Monday. What a great weekend we had!! Friday night I got to go scrapbooking at Archiver's with Angie. SO much fun, like usual. Was super nice to get away for awhile, I needed it. Then Saturday I went out with Angie and the kids to the outlet stores in North Branch. I found a new favorite store of mine, Carters! It's for kids and I bought Cole some cute new clothes for half the original price. I was happy! Then we just hungout at home the rest of the day. Sunday we got up and ran a couple of errands and I finished cleaning the house, got all the screens vacuummed so I can feel good about opening my windows now. Then we got to enjoy the rest of the day outside. Cole just hungout in his bouncer chair and enjoyed the fresh air. We had Mike's parents and brother over for dinner, as a thank you for baby sitting Friday night (even though they said they don't need to be thanked for watching him, but I felt the need to). Was such a nice evening to hangout outside on the front porch.


Another great thing about the weekend we had, Cole slept for 6 hours straight on Saturday and Sunday night!!! We fed him about 8 pm and he slept until 2 am. Then went about 4 1/2 hours after that! I'm not going to complain about waking up at 6:30 am. Let's hope he continues these habits. I'm trying to get him on some sort of a schedule. We are trying to give him his last bottle at 8 pm and putting him to bed by 8:30. And trying to take naps in his crib. As long as he is swaddled he is good. I just can't believe at how big he is getting already. His cheeks are getting chubby and his arms are starting to get little rolls in them, especially his wrists! I LOVE IT! Each day is getting easier and easier.


So last week I wrote about getting back on a healthy track. Well that didn't work over the weekend. It's hard when at Archiver's they have pizza for dinner. So I thought ok one last weekend and on track Monday. So this morning I got up and went for a run (once Mike woke up) then came back and had a oatmeal pancake (a packet of oatmeal with 2-3 egg whites, then you cook it in the pan on the stove just like a pancake, super yummy and healthy!). Lunch however did consist of leftover cheesy potatoes :) But nothing but water to drink today. I know I really shouldn't have gone for that run because I haven't gotten the OK from the Dr. yet, but it's getting hard not to. So maybe I'll just take it a little easier this week until I see what she says on Friday. But we are going to be on track now. And after that run this morning I felt so good! Refreshed and not bloated (like I have been feeling). So let's get this summer body ready here!!!!!


Well better be productive before Cole wakes up from his nap, maybe I should clean out the front closet, I think it's safe to put the winter boots/shoes away, don't you?!

  1. So you just use those personal size serving packets of oat meal for the pancakes?? Sounds yummy! Do you use the flavored ones (apple cinnamon, brown sugar & cinnamon, etc.??)
